This part is a new, aftermarket C5 to C6 Bilstein Heavy Duty Rear Shock Absorber which can be installed on any of the following Corvette models:

Bilstein shocks are 20% stiffer than standard equipment shocks. These shocks have a seamless, mono-tube construction for quick heat dissipation, as well as finely machined components for the most sensitive valving available today. If the car has settled due to worn suspension components, Bilstein shocks may raise the ride height by about 1/2 inch.

Please keep in mind that if your Corvette has the electronic suspension option, installing this shock will disable it. This shock is permanently set to sport mode and will illuminate a warning light on the dashboard of your vehicle. Your local dealer or service technician can remove this code.
